- ALL apps are NOT created equal.
- There is an app for EVERYTHING......well I haven't NOT found what I'm looking for yet.
Multi layer apps to achieve your desired outcome.......eg do you need to screenshot the current project and open it in another app to annotate or voice record over or 'share'.

Don't think that it's 'just a game', so many of the highly effective tools that complement and encourage thinking come wrapped in the guise.
Apps such as
- Cut the rope (Juniors love this!)
- Casey's Contractions (Currently unavailable in the NZ itunes store but according to their website it will be back soon)
- Incredible Machine
- Rush Hour (the classic 'boardgame' style)
- World of Goo
- Flow Free (which is levelled)
Examples:
What is her picture really about?
Created using the Drawing Pad App and then image created used in Sonic Pics.
Apps that help gather ideas and bring clarity to thinking and planning writing - Epic Citadel (Free) which is fabulous to plant intrigue, mystery and in particular support boys writing!
A Screenshot was taken of 'where you would most like to explore' and then that image was used within the app 'Skitch' to annotate over the top.
Tappy Memories The questions provided within this app are very 'low order' thinking questions but the bonus is you have the ability/option to add and customise anyway you wish. eg it may be a focus inquiry question, a reflective question pre/during or post a learning opportunity, or learners may choose to post their wonderings and pose a question for their peers and then look for feedback via their class blog. With this app learners can import an image, add text, add voice and then 'share'. It emails each component as a seperate file which can then be added to a blog, school website, LMS etc
Book Creator for iPad (Put into Scribd for easy of sharing on a class blog)
